A watch born from the feeling of belonging. A dial that brings us together. There are moments in life when time feels more meaningful. Seconds tick by but something more lingers; memories form, friendships blossom, stories begin to unfold. That’s the spirit behind Jui, a special collaboration between Hong Kong-based Watch Ho & Co and Selten to mark the club’s 2-year anniversary. A commemorative piece that carries a single, powerful idea in its name, Jui 聚, to meet, to gather.

Inspired by Ancient China
The dial of Jui was inspired by Ancient China where soldiers once wore body armour bearing a repeated design known today as the mountain pattern. These shapes conveyed unity, safety and quiet strength. On Jui’s dial, the pattern returns with a new meaning; a tribute to the shared bond of the collector community. Each pattern represents a collector. You, me and anyone who’s ever found joy in the small but significant rituals of watch collecting and horology.

We see it when someone posts a vintage reference late at night. When a friend announces a NWA with a story behind it. When strangers become friends over lugs, lume, or caseback engravings. On Jui’s dial, the pattern returns with a new meaning; a tribute to the collector community, brought together and connected like the pattern itself. The pattern is us, linked by a common shared passion that transcends distance.

A Tribute to Collectors and Celebrating Connection
Every Jui dial begins as a piece of natural black Tahitian mother-of-pearl. Already rich with shifting vibrant tones of green, violet, red and blue, the dial comes to life as the mountain pattern is engraved with digital CNC precision, inspired by classical guilloché. The result catches the light in its own way, different on every dial, just like each of us walks a different collecting path.

Surrounding the pattern there are rings of finely intersecting circles. These circles represent your local watch communities, clubs, collecting styles and genres. Each one is different, yet linked. Together they form the dial’s outer ring, encircling the mountain pattern at the centre. And the biggest circle, the dial itself, becomes a symbol of our global horological ecosystem, also known as the Watchfam. Collector chats, Discord and WhatsApp groups, late-night calls, bar tables, wristshots, memes and heartfelt advice exchanged via Instagram DMs across time zones. It all began 2 years ago with WH&C, the founder’s own club. What started as a few voices has become a worldwide family of collectors and friends. Jui was created to celebrate that connection and milestone.

The hands are skeletonised swords, staying true to the armour theme. They gesture not to combat but to camaraderie. A quiet strength that welcomes curiosity. A safe space that celebrates individuality, all levels of collectors and never judges because at WH&C, Good Vibes Only is more than a motto, it’s a way of being.

Design Features
The case is stainless steel, 39 mm across, and just 9.95 mm thick. On the chapter ring, a subtle Chinese number 2 (二) refers to the club’s 2^nd anniversary. Inside beats the dependable Miyota Automatic 9039 with a custom Selten rotor, visible through the exhibition caseback. But it’s the Chinese phrase that says it all:

“聚人聚時聚故事”

A place where people, time, and stories come together.

The Essence of Connection and Community
This is Jui, a timepiece created to honour connection, camaraderie and the people who make this hobby so special. At the end of the day, it’s not about the watch, it’s about the people it gathers and brings together.
